Today was a really good day with the girls. We did our usual run to Costco, and had to stop by Michael’s for some bracelet making supplies. They girls didn’t fuss, didn’t misbehave.. It was awesome! We got home, ate lunch (mmmmm….Chipotle), put the girls down for a nap, and they didn’t wake up until 4:30pm. In fact, Daddy and I had to go in and wake the poor little girls up!
We played with them, ran around, read books, etc… Dinner was quick and easy. Bath went fairly quickly. The girls even got to wash Daddy’s hair for a change. It was so cute. They were playing with bubbles, and Daddy leaned over the edge of the tub. The girls just piled bubbles on Daddy’s head. They laughed the entire time they “washed” and “rinsed” his hair. We read their bed time story, and put the girls to bed. We go in a little later… to check on them, and this is what we see….
It’s times like these that my heart just melts. I could not imagine NOT having these two little princesses. It’s times like these that I forget about all of the other times that they throw tantrums… ok.. maybe not completely forget, but I can definitely forget about it for a fleeting moment.

Yes.. I mean Scrap!!! LOL.. I have been soooo bad… I am 2, yes TWO years behind on my scrap booking… I have over 16Gb of photos of the girls since they were born… and they are just sitting on a hard drive upstairs. I’ve been trying to find time to do something with all of these pictures. I’ve been debating whether or not I’m going to go through the boxes and boxes of papers, pens, glue, stickers, and dies that I have… or really break down and be the techie that I claim to be and start trying this new-fangled thing they call Digital Scrapping.
They say it can be done. In fact.. I have a friend that does an awesome job of it! I’ve been following her blog “And then… there were twins”. It’s totally awesome.. and.. she’s got freebies!!! I love freebies… She makes them herself… which amazes me. In fact.. she just posted new freebies today! Not to mention she’s being featured on some big name sites in the Digi Scrapping community!!!
She has a whole bunch of the pages she’s done on her blog… and I just love her creativeness!!!
Check it out!

Must be in like new condition because I’m going to need to use it constantly.
Last night, Victoria kept telling us there was a “monkey hiding”… We had no idea what she was talking about, so Daddy asks her to tell us where this monkey is. She points to a little door in their room (it’s the 1st floor attic access). I have absolutely no idea where this “hiding monkey” is coming from… but she is adamant there is a monkey hiding in that little door. I thought showing her there wasn’t a monkey there would be a good idea.. but then I remembered there’s a bunch of insulation in there. Not going to take a chance on the girls touching any of that stuff. I just laugh every time she brings it up.
This morning, while the girls were eating breakfast, they kept asking for some sort of bunny. There were a whole bunch of garbled words (thus the request for a dictionary) and then I heard “BUNNY!!!” clear as day. I asked them several times what they were saying. I looked all over the kitchen, and showed them several things I thought they could be pointing to… nothing… i finally gave in and just told them “Yes, bunny!”
Most of the day they’ll run around and say all kinds of unintelligible things to each other… but they completely understand what the other is saying.. They are picking up a lot of words… but I still wonder what they are saying when I hear a bunch of babble and then a ton of laughing… Maybe someday they’ll be able to tell me what they were talking about…

The girls have been just surprising us with the things they say lately. It’s truly teaching me to watch what I say! They love to repeat EVERYTHING! Grandpa learned that the other day! They were over here playing with the girls, stacking legos as high as they could, and having fun knocking them all down. Grandpa was picking something up and says “Well, I’ll be darned”… and next thing you know, Victoria says the same thing… Everyone just started laughing.
Later on that evening, Alexandra asked for one of her toys, which I promptly gave her. She looked at me with her beautiful smile and yelled “Thanks!”. I just smiled and told her “No Problem”. I then hear from Victoria, my little myna bird “no problem”, and a huge giggle. I look over at her and she’s giggling so hard, and covering her mouth with her hands… All I can see are her little eyes squinting in a laugh.
It’s times like those that make all the sad and crying moments worth everything. I love their smiles, and giggles and hearty laughs. I love being a mommy!

Talk about hectic! I just looked back and noticed I haven’t written in almost a month. For that, I am sorry! There have been a lot of things going on lately.
Easter was a good day! We gave the girls their first Easter Baskets. No candy.. just good snacks and a really cool Elmo doll. They ate most of their animal cookies with breakfast. We took them to church and they did ok. Victoria was a little stranger shy at first. They just aren’t used to being around so many people in such small quarters for so long. We got through mass though. They actually liked seeing grandpa playing his trumpet that morning. They wouldn’t stop talking about it for most of the day.
After church, we all went out to breakfast at the new IHOP near our house. The girls got the “funny face” pancake… It was so funny. They went straight for the chocolate chips, and barely picked at the pancake. Victoria decided she wanted some eggs, and just grabbed them off of Daddy’s plate. Alexandra then tried a pickle from grandma’s plate and loved it. I was shocked they didn’t have a bad tummy ache later on that morning.
They took a great nap that afternoon… Which made for a good restful afternoon for Mommy & Daddy too.
