Mommy Brain

So, this weekend the family went out to do some much needed shopping… The poor girls were totally stretched to their limits.. We went out early enough, but somehow, we got held up at one of our stops… We were headed to the grocery store, and saw that Alexandra had fallen asleep in her car seat… ok, no big deal.. it was past nap time. She was tired. Normally, taking her out of the car seat wakes them up, but not this time… I picked her up and put her in the stroller… She’s still out like a light… it was so funny… Victoria, wide awake, starts reaching for her sister and saying “sister, wake”… Poor girl didn’t want to be the only one awake… Well… she got Alexandra to wake up… after some coaxing from Mommy… She was all smiles after that…
We left the grocery store for home… in a quick 4 minutes, Victoria had fallen asleep. Ryan turned around and tried to wake her up by shaking her foot, or tapping her leg… nothing… He started playing with her face, and she started laughing… in her SLEEP!!! We thought she was awake, but when he stopped, her face relaxed and she breathed in and that was it… IN HER SLEEP!!! We were just cracking up! I only wish I had a video camera.. oh and that I wasn’t driving at that moment… We got them home, and put them down for a nap… They both sawed logs for about 3 hours…
